The underground is the breeding ground where new ideas are tested. The mainstream being too conservative to try anything new will see these creative ideas from the underground and when it gains popularity, they will follow.

I've been pushing and pushing the music since day one. I'm aware that some people will follow or copy Rewired's ideas, thats the risk we take. But being underground is all about attitude. The mainstream will never have the street cred because they will never have that attitude.

cheers to the manila underground.

"...I'm aware that some people will follow or copy Rewired's ideas, thats the risk we take..."

We try new ideas, we play new music because the mainstream didn't want us. If its succesful, then they will follow our ideas, that's the risk, our ideas maybe copied and then we won't get credit it for it... but in the end, it shouldn't matter since we are trying to change things and we don't mind if we don't get the credit for it.

i read your article in PDI and its pretty impressive how you guys go along and work together. you guys are one crazy movement ;) hmmm...i wonder why you're saying that the mainstream is copycatting you. i think it's all about pockets and cash registers. it really sucks!

We can't say for sure that they are copying us but we have heard some signals that they are asking some of our DJs that we promote to play at their club. For the longest time, they never asked them to play, to this day, I have never been asked to play at that main room despite my eagerness in the past. Now that electro is a by word and now that these DJs are getting noticed, they will ask them to play at that main room? No hard feelings, thats the way it goes and if they are asked to play there, we will be there to support them.
